"Amazon needs to stand by products" 2009-08-07
By K. Becerra (Sacramento, CA)
Not worth the money and not worth one star. We used this bed for a camping weekend. We take extra care when it comes to our equipment so it will last for a long time. We did so with this bed and after our weekend it does not hold air. We were not able to find a leak. The coils have started to rust even though the bed has never gotten wet or been stored at all if improperly. It does not raise to its stated 14 inches either.I am attempting to return it. We'll see how Amazon handles this. I will keep all posted. AMAZON ALLOWED ME TO RETURN THE BED FOR A REFUND. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ANOTHER BED TO USE WHILE CAMPING?

 "Looks good" 2009-08-07
By Local transient (Utah)
Arrived quickly. I didn't use the bedskirt. It's nice it had a mattress pad. As with air mattresses, we'll see how long it holds air. Only use and time will tell.

 "slept like a baby" 2009-02-27
By Helemax (Tulsa, Ok.)
This was purchased for my Grandma trip to babysit my grandson . I loved that I did not have to crawl off the floor and that the bed was easy to get in and out of. I spent little time tossing and turning and went to sleep easily. I have purchased many aero beds in the past and this is by far my favorite. It is very stable and like a real bed......my grandson loved taking naps on the bed and slept in it when I left....AERO Premier Raised Air Bed, Twin Size 49811

"AERO Premier Raised Air Bed, Twin" 2008-09-05
By Denise L. Lindsay (Klamath Falls, Oregon USA)
The bed is outstanding! I did a lot of research online and shopping around town before I made the decision to purchase this air bed. My guest who suffers from back problems and is post heart surgery loved sleeping on it. She was able to adjust the comfort level to her liking. At home she sleeps on a firm mattress and the AREO bed was a match. She made the comment "WOW...I slept far better on this bed then my expensive bed at home and woke up with no back pain!" She now wants to purchase an AERO. My purchase and delivery form Amazon was a home run.

 "AERO Premier Air Bed" 2008-07-20
By Caroline Reel
I am pleased with the AERO Premier Air Bed...compared to our previous air beds, the AERO is closer to being a 'real' bed, and so handy when our Grandson visits. Sitting high off the floor was an important feature for me as well as the ease of pumping air in and deflating; hardly any work for us humans here.

 "Amazing!!!" 2006-11-30
By N. Lark (SF, CA)
We bought this 6 months ago, and believe me it is just as comfortable as a real bed. We inflated it the first day, and my sister-in-law has been sleeping on it every day since!!!! She hasn't had to add any air in over 4 months. It is worth every penny we paid.

"17 months, light use, sprung a leak" 2008-10-28
By C. Kelleher (new york, ny United States)
In a typical consumer nightmare, my rather expensive Aerobed lasted a bit longer than the warranty period and then became unusable due to a leak that causes the bed to deflate to an uncomfortble point after about three hours of sleep. Unless you like to wake up in the middle of the night and reinflate your bed to keep from being trapped in a plastic cocoon, you will probably want to pass on this. They do give you a patch kit, but I have been unable to find the leak in order to patch it.

This is a big disappointment. The bed was comfortable enough and very convenient due to its fast inflation time. It was also surprisingly stable and did not move around or make getting in and out difficult even on a smooth hardwood floor. I barely used this bed over the course of 17 months, and it was slept in less than 50 times. We used it entirely indoors in clean rooms, so the failure is pretty inexplicable. We did deflate and pack away after each use, so maybe the stress of reinflating cut the lifespan, but this is just a guess, and IMO the product should have been designed to last a long time even under that usage pattern.

If you read the reviews, as of this writing, about 25% of users have had leakage problems with these beds. Buyer beware, as even if your leak did happen under warranty, this bed is bulky and heavy even when folded, so mailing it back for service would be a chore. Nice product, but the fragile durability and not inconsiderable price cause me to rate this poorly.

 "Can find the leak!" 2007-11-11
By K. Cole (New Hampshire)
I have owned several Aero beds in the past without any problems however one of the two beds I recently purchased has a leak and I can't find it. I am returning it after having it for less than two months.

"The bed worked out great" 2007-10-15
By J. Beck (NJ USA)
I had this bed shippped to my mother's in Florida, so I could sleep on it in her living room while she recovered from surgery. The bed arrived almost a week early. The bed did not automatically stop inflating after one or two minutes, so I just stopped it myself and adjusted the inflation downward slightly until it was comfortable. The bed is very comfortable. When I rolled over at night, I got the sensation that whole thing was going to roll over, which of course it never did. But I did learn to stay in the middle of the bed to prevent that sensation. I slept on it for five days. Deflating it, and rolling it up for storage was easier than I thought. All in all, I'm happy with the product and with Amazon's Free Shipping.

"Good value for the price" 2007-09-30
By Jerryaki (New York, NY)
I bought this air mattress as a temporary bed for the next few months. It's raised to a good height, and another good thing about it is that it has linear ridges instead of ovals that other beds have (I think the straight lines are more comfortable than the ovals, and the ovals increase the number of seams where air can leak). Easy to inflate and deflate, although i haven't tried to fit it into the provided bag.

I've had to inflate it once in the month I've had it (in addition to the initial fill), although I can imagine it being more if you really like a firm mattress. It does lose air slowly, although it's not such a huge issue to me to refill every few days. For more than half the cost of Aerobed brands, I think it's fine.

 "Alright Airbed, Great Price" 2007-09-04
By MrConfigT (NC)
I bought this air bed in a pinch when I needed one. It was not my first choice but I am happy I bought it. It is comfortable for its size, and with two people sleeping on it you tend to slide towards the center.

My only complaint and the reason for losing a star, is the bed does not seem to retain air as well as some other air beds I've owned. I would need to add air nightly.

UPDATE:

After having this bed a few months, this bed will no longer hold air through the night. After a full inflation, the bed will fold on top of you during the night creating a human taco affect.

 "Fantastic!" 2009-01-25
By SQI<<<
I got two of these inflatable mattresses to accommodate a couple of guests.

I'd read a few reviews and Aerobed was always the top comfort brand for inflatables so, when I found these mattresses at such an attractive price ($45.99 when Aerobeds tend to be A LOT pricier) I thought I'd give it a shot. (I have back problems and tend to be very careful when buying things like this, even if it is for guests. Support is always No. 1.)

Well, my guests LOVED the beds. They were comfortable, happy and the air volume could be adjusted to please their individual tastes.

I even got to try one of the beds one night and, honestly, I exchanged my own bed to sleep in of these myself. They are truly comfortable. After two weeks of using one, I have no complains at all.

They come with a bag for storage and a very easy-to-use electric pump, that can be adjusted to work also for inflation of other devices (balls, etc). The pump brings the additional inflation heads itself.

The bed inflates in under a minute, and deflates also very very fast. Storage is quick and easy, following the written instructions.

Both beds were inflated for over two weeks and none had any issues or leak.

One thing: if placed on the floor during winter time, the bed can get cold. To solve this I bought a mattress topper (synthetic), and placed it on the mattress, below the sheets. It worked wonderfully.

"not quite up to aerobed standards" 2009-01-11
By P. Powell (VA)
This is my second aerobed and I am not nearly as pleased with it as with the older one. It does not hold the air nearly as well. I am using it for older children to sleep on and it is very mushy by morning. It does not have a significant leak as it does not go flat, but the new valve does not hold the are adequately.

"Be careful with the pump!" 2009-01-10
By Debbie (Westchester County, NY)
The aerobed worked fine and it was comfortable. The directions about using the pump were a little unclear. The pump comes with 2 attached extra tips that maybe allow you to use it with other products. DO NOT use those extra skinny tips with the valve on this bed! We did and it detached the little valve cover that opens inward. We were just lucky to be able to shake the little rubber cover back down toward the opening and work it out so we could reattach it. Without that rubber cover in place, you can't keep the bed inflated! By the way, the description of the product did NOT state that the pump comes with the bed. Amazon should state that in the product description.

 "Great Comfort and Ease!" 2009-01-06
By MarciaRose (Asheville NC)
I had a friend visiting me in December so I purchased the AeroBed for her to sleep on. I found it extremely easy to set up and she was very comfortable sleeping on it.On the day she was leaving she had trouble getting it to deflate so I told her not to bother-I would do it later when I came home from work. That evening when I came home my cat was curled up on it sleeping. I still have not deflated it and put it away since my cat seems to really enjoy "catnapping" on it every day!

 "Very Good Product" 2009-01-01
By Martin J. Hurban (Queenz NY, USA)
Very easy to use bed. Its durable and much better quality than prior air mattresses I had in the past. Just all around good buy. Inflates fast and Deflates even faster.

 "Comfy intelliwarmth aerobed" 2007-06-27
By Hershey Brown (Vancouver, WA USA)
I would have given the bed a five-star rating if I hadn't had to buy a thick poly-filled pad to go under the bed cover. I bought the pad because when the bed is blown up the ridges (that are very firm) that I felt bugged me and kept me from sleeping. With the pad the bed is perfect. The heat it gives off is awesome. My two dachshunds and I love it now!

"Warm, but not to Hot" 2007-05-15
By Judith Fleenor (Marin County, CA)
I love AeroBeds, they pump up fast and can be adjusted with ease. The IntelliWarmth pad doesn't get that hot. It warms abit, but not much.

"Selling products not in stock" 2005-09-11
By C. K.
Indicated that the product was in stock (both at Amazon and on their own site) while the product was back-ordered by several weeks.

This is an unacceptable business practice.

 "Deflates while I'm sleeping! " 2005-04-04
By L. Young (New York, NY)
Given what I paid for this, I have been very careful. I bought it for a guest, but started using it as my everyday bed because it's more comfortable than my old, flat futon mattress.

Recently, I started noticing that in the middle of the night, the mattress was deflating. If I sat up, my rump was touching the ground! I removed all of the bedding to find the hole...none that I can see with the naked eye.

Now my sleep routine includes waking up and re-inflating my sinking "raft."

I'm disappointed and don't plan on buying another Aerobed given other options that are out there now. I think a real sofabed will be more cost effective.

 "AeroBed" 2007-09-23
By Allison (willington, CT)
Had this for about a few years now. Great when you need an extra bed. Very easy to inflate it and i've been told it is quite comfortable as they can adjust the firmness/softness of the mattress by releasing some air out or inflating more air. Got two of these. They are very portable as well if you go to someone's house and they don't have an extra bed. All you need is a floor to lay this down and you got an instant place to sleep. The vinyl is quite thick so I wouldn't worry about it bursting or ripping. Highly recommend.

"Spring leaks easily.... can't be repaired" 2008-12-03
By Hose (Colorado)
I've had perhaps a dozen Aerobeds. Some with the cloth cover, some without. All of them sprang a leak/multiple leaks. Some could be temporarily patched (good until they sprang another leak... I was persistent on one and kept patching every leak. After 50 patches or so, I gave up.)

The baffles are the weakness. Heat is used to fuse the baffles to the top and bottom.... and at the attachment points the material is thin and weak.

The "life" of the Aerobed is in "number of uses"... the worst of mine (more than one Aerobed) sprang a leak on the 6th or 7th use.

If you plan to use an Aerobed frequently, suggest you try something else. However, they are comfortable for sleeping.

"Good product at great price" 2008-09-08
By Walter Butler Yeats
I got this at a deep discount and am very happy with it. We used it on vacation for my youngest daughter who is about 35 lbs and she was quite comfortable.

I tried it out myself and it seems to be good, the only thing I would be concerned about is the thickness of the shell, I am afraid it seems less robust than some other aerobeds and might puncture.

"Defective both times I ordered it. Don't waste your time." 2008-08-05
By W. Vassallo (Troy, MI USA)
Great idea, however, when inflated, had a cut/slit in bottom. When received replacement airbed, exact same problem. After receiving two airbeds with cuts in the plastic, I've given up on this product.

I went to Target and bought a twin airbed and plug-in pump. It worked perfectly.

This Aerobed product does not even come close to the quality of the queen Aerobed I've had for years. This must be a lower line product of theirs.

 "Works Great!" 2008-08-03
By Michael W. Stacy (Bellingham, WA)
Had one friend sleep on it so far, he said it worked great. Took about 3 min. to fill up using the air pump. Super easy.

 "Outstanding" 2008-08-03
By Laura B. Grussing (Hollywood, CA)
I sent this to my son who travels the country with his band and sometimes has to sleep on floors. He loves it and feels that is more comfortable than his mattress( not much of a complement because his mattress is a thin one from IKEA) The backback is super convenient.
